The second you sell your last prohibited firearm in a given class, you no longer have a prohibited license for that class, and can never obtain one again. This allowed you to continue to own, buy, sell, and trade in that class of firearm. Here is how it works: only if you registered the converted autos (12.3 class) which you owned before they were prohibited, you could continue to have that endorsement on your license as long as you maintained ownership of at least one of that class of firearms. Time will tell if they are as good as TRW bolts. You could feasibly bring it to a gunsmith, or to some exhibition with special permission. The government no longer certifies ranges for prohibited long guns, so they no longer issue ATTs to take them to the range anymore the last prohibited long gun ATT expired at least a decade ago.
